English and French.
Book your
free
trial lesson now!
Brambles
offers lessons from pre-school age, primary school
as well as for secondary school, grammar school and
adults.
Training is available in all language skills. This
encompasses grammar, spelling, punctuation,
vocabulary, reading, conversation, text
interpretation and the theory and practice of text
types such as essays, presentations and so on.
Please see the table below to find the right course
package for you.
You can also use
Brambles
to prepare for the Cambridge First and Cambridge
Proficiency Exam* (course package 3 ‘Exam’).
The training is organised according to your
individual requirements and difficulties within the
course programme you have booked and is continuously
adapted to your progress.
For children up to primary 3rd grade, the ‘Oxford
Phonics’ course for English and ‘J'apprends à lire
et à écrire’ for French are ideal for getting
started in a foreign language. Package 5 ‘Phonetics’
is also ideal for students who already have French
or English at school but find the pronunciation and
spelling difficult. It is guaranteed to be an
eye-opening experience!
Where possible,
Brambles
uses colourful language games and brings in James
the Rat, a hand puppet. James is a bit cheeky,
sometimes brash and loves biscuits. With his direct
manner and lots of questions, he makes the children
laugh and, poof, first successes in speaking and
learning begin to show!
Brambles
has experience in teaching learners with dyslexia
and autism. The lessons and materials are customised
by Brambles. Depending on the student, this can
mean, for example, that the teaching material is
clear and without frills and colour. Or that
coloured syllabary and a dyslexia-friendly font are
chosen.

Brambles
offers training opportunities in all language skills
(grammar, spelling, punctuation, vocabulary,
reading, conversation and interpretation as well as
text types, essay theory and presentation skills).
This at pre-school and primary school level, for
secondary school pupils, as preparation for grammar
school, the Matura and for adults.
Brambles
has put together course packages based on many years
of experience. You can see them in the table below.
Within the individual programmes, training is
tailored to your needs. The lessons are continuously
adapted to your progress. That way,
Brambles
meets each student where he or she is in terms of
learning level in each lesson. With patience,
persistence and tackling from different angles, a
topic is practised until you feel confident!
With package 3 ‘Examination’, your child can prepare
intensively at
Brambles
for the German grammar school entrance examination
of the Canton of Zurich or any other canton!
Although it is considered one of the most demanding
in Switzerland, all of
Brambles'
students have successfully passed their Gymiprüfung
Deutsch so far!
Learn German as a second or foreign language with
Brambles,
for example for better integration into the Swiss
school, to work on gaps and practise away memorised
mistakes. Package 1 ‘Basics’ is suitable for this.
You can also train with
Brambles
for all Goethe-Zertifikat* examinations (Package 3
‘Examination’). Here too, the success rate of
candidates trained by
Brambles
is 100 per cent!
Do you want to improve your written and spoken
business German?
Brambles
will actively assist you. You will not only be able
to practise general business terms, but also
material and vocabulary specific to your profession.
For children up to primary 3rd grade, the language
introduction with colourful language games and
temporary participation of James the Rat, a hand
puppet, is ideal. If teenagers and adults like it
and have fun with James, that works just fine too!
Brambles
has experience with learners with dyslexia, AD(H)S
and autism. Within the course packages,
Brambles
will adapt the material and the teaching method
together with the learner so that he/she feels
comfortable in class. Training is then carried out
patiently and as far as possible without
overwhelming the learner, and poof, the first
successes become apparent!
In any case:
Brambles
is patient and observant, thinks integrational and
out of the box, has stamina, drive and a good sense
of humour. So (almost) everything can be achieved!

Place and Type of Tuition.
Lessons usually take place online.
At present, lessons are held via Skype call and using
the OneNote note-taking tool as well as so-called screen
sharing. This means that both parties see and hear the
same screen (for videos and audio, for example). In
addition, both parties can open the same file in the
OneNote app and see what the other party is writing in
real time. In the event of communication difficulties or
transmission delays, which unfortunately sometimes occur
online, the Skype chat function helps or, in the worst
case, the call is cancelled and restarted immediately.
The student has access to the personal OneNote folder
with all materials at all times, even outside of class.
Both parties can work and make changes in OneNote. The
folder is synchronised when it is opened and updated on
both sides. Any changes made are displayed to the other
party with a dot after the file name and the initials of
the name in the text.
Online teaching is almost the same as if we were sitting
opposite each other in person! Often, it is even more
efficient!
